Descriptions and definitions: |

| CE/RoHS | All units are CE marked and RoHS compliant. Certifications are available for download | |||||||||||
| Mitutoyo Digimatic |
This is the output signal format used in most digital hand tools. |
|||||||||||
| Pass-Thru Port | A DB9M connector on the unit. This is an input port for direct device input or used to stack/daisy-chain units together. This port can be used for direct connection to a serial device or can be used to connect MIG interfaces together to create a single output stream. The chain of interfaces can continue to enable up to 99 inputs to send to a single output port. | |||||||||||
| Daisy-chaining | The concept of connecting multiple interfaces together. Connecting units will create a 'single' interface with port/channel numbers being aligned so each port can be identified. This is also referred to as 'stacking' units. | |||||||||||
| Power Supply |
How each interface is powered. The single input pulls power from the USB port. MIG-2/4/8USB are supplied with a wall adapter. International orders are shipped with International Power Supplies that include multiple plugs/connectors matching different country outlets. 110-220volt input to 9vdc output |

| Data Send |
Data can be requested by the interface. Push or Toggle button will trigger a reading request to be sent to the device. A 3.5mm RCA 'headphone' jack will accept a momentary closure to trigger a reading request to be sent to device. These can also be wired to a PLC for automated data collection. |
