FlexPort USB Gage Interface – The Most Versatile Tool in Gage Data Collection
Designed for Mitutoyo—and compatible with all major digital gages and measuring instruments.
The FP-4USB-RD adds a rotary dial for quick, single-handed channel selection. Choose the active port, then trigger with the front send button or the rotary-selectable jack—great for multi-gage benches, repeat checks, and clean operator workflows.
Three Output Modes – Built In:
- USB HID (Keyboard Mode): Send readings into any software—Excel, Minitab, custom apps—no drivers needed.
- USB Virtual COM Port (VCP): Appears as a COM port for SPC systems and scripts.
- DB9 RS232 Serial: Standard legacy output and pass-thru for serial devices or daisy-chaining.
Five ways to request a reading:
- Send button on the gage or cable
- Front-panel send (active channel chosen via rotary dial)
- Rotary-selectable 2.5 mm data-send jack
- Per-input 2.5 mm external jacks for hand/footswitch contact-closure
- PC host commands (software-initiated requests)
